Tri-County Area Parks & Playgrounds

Listed by county, in no particular order are parks and playgrounds that Daughter and I have been to. There are countless other outdoor facilities all over the bay area we have yet to visit, but look forward to exploring so we can add more park names to this list. The best part about visiting a local park is FREE entry!

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY

BAY BRIDGE PARK

A Westchase area playground with a large field and a gazebo.

WEST PARK VILLAGE PARK

Located in Westchase is West Park Village where there is a playground with a little splash zone.

EGYPT LAKE LETO PARK

Located right across from the Egypt Lake library, this park with a playground also has tennis courts and basketball courts.

JULIAN B. RIVERFRONT PARK

Julian B. has a playground and splashpad and is one of many parks to explore along the Riverwalk. There is also tennis courts, outdoor exercise equipment and lots of paths to walk.

AL LOPEZ PARK

This park has three different size playgrounds. There are trails, a dog park and a lake to walk around.

NORTHDALE PARK

Amenities include a playground, a splashpad, picnic tables, walking paths, outdoor stationary exercise equipment and basketball courts.

CARROLLWOOD VILLAGE PARK

At this park there is a playground, splash pad, outdoor exercise stations, walking paths, a skate park, a dog park and a ninja obstacle course.

MACFARLANE PARK

This park is located in West Tampa with two playgrounds, field space and a big shaded pavilion at the top of the hill.

PARK AT CURTIS HIXON

In Downtown Tampa along the Riverwalk there is a corner with a playground.

WATER WORKS PARK

Another Downtown Tampa playground and splashpad attraction located along the Riverwalk.

PICNIC ISLAND

Located in South Tampa, this park area has two playgrounds, bay water, pavilions, shade and so much more outdoors to enjoy!

This large trail system has many entrances and amenities to enjoy.

PINELLAS COUNTY

NORTH CITY PARK

At this park there is a playground and a large field.

RIVIERA BAY

Here there is a playground, walking paths and stationary exercise equipment.

EDGEWATER PARK

This playground is in Dunedin along the marina.

ST. PETE PIER

Really cool playground right in the middle of the St. Pete Pier.
